SUMMARY
Kingsville Naval Air Station selected the Maneri~Agraz team of lighting professionals to provide an energy efficient lighting retrofit in their aircraft hangar 3257.
The retrofit of this large aircraft hangar included exterior tarmac lighting as well as interior high bay lighting for aircraft maintenance.
Exterior lighting replaced 1000 watt HID fixtures with new 400 watt induction flood lights. This energy conservation measure not only significantly improved light levels on the tarmac, but also reduced energy consumption by 60%, and increased the life of the system from 10,000 hours to 100,000 hours.
Maneri~Agraz designed a new interior lighting system that reduced existing 400 watt metal halide fixture quantities from 384 to 240, T5HO linear fluorescent fixtures and increase light levels by 200%.
An addressable lighting control and energy management system was also Incorporated into the installation providing additional energy saving benefits to the Air Station via daylight harvesting, occupancy control photo control, and complete remote desktop control via the internet.
Installation was completed seamlessly and without interruption to the facility processes.
