“Our 500 acre heavy industrial forging plant with was built during the late 1960′s and grew to over 1.3 million square feet of manufacturing under roof after several expansion projects through 1980 with energy efficiency in mind from the beginning. We were a trial site using energy efficient GE Lucalux fixtures for all shop overhead lighting when the 
plant was built. For the next 25 years we continued to investigate and employ energy efficient applications and cost saving initiatives. Every year several “snake oil salesmen” would knock on our door promising they had guaranteed energy saving programs, but once they saw what we were doing and had already done, they walked away with their tail between their legs. When John Maneri contacted me, I was certain that this was just another salesman with a hollow promise. However, John and Frank impressed me with their knowledge of state-of-the-art lighting and quickly showed us how we could save over $260,000 per year in electric energy and improve our shop lighting at the same time. They even coordinated a $273,00 energy rebate from the utility company as a result of the lighting upgrade. John and Frank were extremely helpful providing energy savings calculations, technical information and expertise on lighting levels, and even coordinated the installation of the new overhead shop lighting fixtures while our plant was running without interrupting production.
After the installation began, we made several changes to the scope of work to increase lighting in certain inspection areas and John gladly accommodated us. He also ensured that we had a ample stock of spares and streamlined warranty replacements with the lighting fixture manufacturer. I cannot praise John and Frank enough for their willingness to solve problems, their expertise in lighting design, and going the extra mile to ensure we were “happy customers”. In the past three years, our electric energy rate has doubled, so we are reaping twice the annual electric energy savings from our investment three years ago.”
